If you are an entry-level to management-level jobseeker, then it’s advantageous to attend the Middlesex County Career Fair at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Co-sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Labor, the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce and Workforce Alliance, this job fair showcases over 50 employers from Connecticut that are looking to recruit new hires. A partial list of the several diverse companies attending: Adelbrook Inc., Athena Health Care Systems, Change Incorporated, EDAC Technologies, Frontier Communications, IMO Advertising, Macy’s Department Store, Peoples Products and Evolutionary Home Energy Solutions, RAF Electronic Hardware, Seasons Federal Credit Union, Verizon and Waterford Hotel Group.

In addition to jobseekers having the opportunity to network with hiring managers and company representatives at this job fair, the Connecticut Department of Labor’s Communications Director, Nancy Steffens, is delighted to be offering free LinkedIn profile critiques and free résumé critiques to attendees. “Whether you’re looking for that first job or are searching for a more challenging position, a well-written résumé, paired with a professional LinkedIn profile, is often the difference between no job offers and an incredible career,” affirms Steffens.

Another highlight of the Middlesex County Career Fair is a free workshop, sponsored by the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce. This seminar will focus on how to give jobseekers a professional edge in their job search. For entrepreneur-minded attendees, representatives will also provide valuable information on how to start a business.
