For 20 years I worked in the corporate world at dot.coms, technology companies, and advertising agencies. I have a strong professional background in advertising, sales, marketing, product management, and communications.
Five years ago, I rediscovered a passion for words and began writing featured online content for Yahoo! and Examiner as a freelance writer.
Today, I am a business and lifestyle features writer / contributor for the daily regional newspaper Republican American, which serves 36 towns and cities in Litchfield County and the Greater Waterbury area.
I also wrote business and lifestyle features for The Sherman Sentinel, a local bi-monthly publication that has served the community for 70 years. Prior to, I was a journalist and features writer for three years with Citizen News, now Town Tribune. This weekly newspaper serves New Fairfield, Sherman, and surrounding towns.
I also take professional, high-quality photos and specialize in business and special events photography. My images are used in plenty of articles, features, and communication pieces that I write for clients.
Since I love my local community and the surrounding area, I also focus on helping small business owners and non-profits with their PR, Marketing, Advertising, and Social Media needs.
Here’s a partial list of businesses and non-profits that have benefitted from my services.
The Dive Shop Aquatic Center, Four Seasons Therapy, Happy Rainbows, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, The Goodie Shoppe, JAXLegacy, Julia’s Wings Foundation, Mighty Ploughboys, Sacred Grounds Coffee Roasters, Sherman Historical Society, Sherman School – Special Events, Sherman Soccer Club, SPTO – Special Events, Strawberry Fields Farm, and Laser Planet.
I am also the founding editor and writer for Candlewood Lake Magazine, an online lifestyle publication that serves five Connecticut lake towns and the surrounding area.
